“The Merc” in Quinault

The Quinault Mercantile was built in 1918 and has been in continuous operation as a general store for 87 years.

“The Merc” is located in the middle of the town of Quinault, which is in the middle of the Olympic National Park and within easy walking distance of the Quinault Lodge, Quinault Lake and the Quinault Rain Forest Loop.

“The Merc” has expanded numerous times over the years, but has not abandoned old-time features like wood floors, custom walking sticks, & oak showcases. The store also has a beautiful view overlooking the park and is quaintly tucked away within the mountainside. The Merchandise array is impressive by any standard, from a "necessaries" grocery department, to kitchen tools, camping equipment, sporting goods, and Rain Forest worthy clothes, along with everything in between.

And don't forget about our Snack Bar, home of the mighty Olympus Burger! Introduce the kids to a real Milk Shake made with premium hard-pack ice cream. Home-baked goodies, pizza & grilled sandwiches. Head to the Snack Bar with the family for Breakfast and an Espresso before your hike in the Rain Forest or a day on the Lake. The Quinault Mercantile & Snack Bar is located on the South Shore Road, next to the Lake Quinault Museum and Lake Quinault Lodge.With convenient tables and even video games for the kids, the Snack Bar offers everything from gourmet sandwiches to pizza to burgers.
